Join us at The Powelton Club on Monday, August 1 for a chance to connect with the community, celebrate change, and network with local business leaders all while making a lasting impact on the Abilities First mission. This year’s classic is certainly unique as Abilities First celebrates its 60th year of fostering change in our community!

From the moment you arrive, golfers, tennis players, and sponsors will experience an outing that is clearly a one-of-a-kind event. There will be prizes, a silent auction, an array of food (including a buffet breakfast, courtside snacks, lunch, and food/beverage sampling), and a cocktail awards reception. The Powelton Club Golf Course

The Powelton Club golf course is presently 6,193 yards in length with a rating of 71.4 and has a slope of 134. Designed by Devereux Emmet in 1923, the Club’s golf course is walkable, and each hole presents a challenge to your game in a different way.  The short par fours offer strategic options that invite birdies but often penalize with bogies. The greens offer a variety of challenges to players. Some are at ground level and flanked by flat bunkers, while other holes are elevated and fiercely guarded by large, deep hazards. The terrain can be severe and water is a factor on 11 out of the 18 holes. A stream crossing the property feeds into four ponds, including the picturesque Par 3 seventh hole. The existing design is known to be both challenging and memorable. It is accentuated by wonderfully quick greens and tight fairways with deep rough and troublesome pin placements.
