Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (July 6, 2015) – Abilities First has announced the 2015 Annual Award recipients to be honored at their “nightclub” themed Signature event on Friday, September 11, 2015. David & Lynn Melby will be recognized as the 2015 Outstanding Volunteers for their years of leadership and support to Abilities First. Equally supportive of their time and direct support to the mission of Abilities First, Rose & Kiernan, Inc. will be honored as the 2015 Outstanding Community Leader.

The Abilities First Signature event honored David and Lynn Melby as the 2015 Outstanding Volunteers and Rose & Kiernan, Inc. as the 2015 Outstanding Community Leader. They were recognized for their commitment to volunteer work and philanthropic support of Abilities First programs and services and bringing heightening awareness of the organization within the region.

For the first time ever, Shadows on the Hudson closed for this nightclub-themed event. Attendees began their evening with a Signature Drink and wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres overlooking the Hudson River. Then they stepped into our pulsating nightclub featuring Soulsystem Orchestras. They enjoyed a progressive dining experience, cigar lounge, aromatherapy oxygen bar, champagne, bourbon and whisky tastings. Magician Chris Dare entertained guests with his illusions.
