The late Carole Nugent’s life and legacy provide great insight to a woman committed to others.

Carole was a former Board member, long-term supporter of the residential programs, holiday activities, and most importantly, sister to the late Pamela Nugent, a former resident at Abilities First.

Ensuring the future of Abilities First for her sister and others, Carole provided leadership, serving on its Board of Directors from 2001 through 2007, while simultaneously serving on its Special Incident Review Committee.

Annually, Carole visited the schools, and most recently, the new Abilities First offices in Wappingers Falls. Her leadership and investment in the future of Abilities First included Planned Giving in her estate planning.

Carole graciously gave us so much of herself through her friendship, leadership, and a bequest of $20,000 to ensure the mission of Abilities First.
