Abilities First will be holding employment fairs on Wednesday, August 11, and Wednesday, August 18, at the Abilities First School at 24 Firemens Way in Poughkeepsie from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The goal of the employment fairs is to attract qualified teaching assistants and teachers aides to serve students at the Abilities First School at Firemens Way this Fall.
The teaching positions are full time, are eligible for benefits, and offer a variety of training opportunities, including remote-training and on-the-job training. Hires will work September through June, as well as a 6-week summer program.
Teaching Assistant candidates must have a current NYS Teaching Assistant Certification (any level). Teachers Aides candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates are encouraged to bring an up-to-date resume, but it is not required. Abilities First will be conducting walk-in interviews and tours of the school, and current Abilities First Staff will be available for questions.
