Give a gift

Your one-time, monthly recurring or annual gift at any level can significantly impact individuals served by the Abilities First, as well as support their activities.

Matching gifts

Connect your employer’s philanthropic interests with yours, for even more impact. Please let us know how we can support your application for processing a matching gift.

Tribute gifts

By directing donations to Abilities First, in lieu of flowers, upon the passing of a loved one, or when celebrating a special occasion, consider making a gift in tribute that will contribute to the lives of those served by Abilities First. If directed, we can send a notice of the gift to them, or if given in their memory, we can notify the family.

Planned Giving: Bequest

By including a gift to Abilities First in your will or trust, you build a legacy that enriches the lives of children and adults in our communities. We’ve partnered with FreeWill because their secure online tool can help you make your will or trust in just 20 minutes at no cost. You can use this resource on its own, or use it to document your wishes before finalizing your plans with an attorney.

Planned Giving: Beneficiaries

Each person, regardless of income or assets or level of giving can leave a legacy in support of Abilities First through planned giving. These gifts offer a variety of ways for tax-incentives, estate preservation and enables you to make a contribution now or in the future. Our staff can provide information and referrals to those able to assist you in your planning.
Do you have an IRA, 401(k), life-insurance policy, or any other non-probate assets not included in your will? If so, you can even designate us as a beneficiary of one or more of these assets to create your legacy with Abilities First. FreeWill can also help you plan for all of these assets

Founded in 2018, the mission of the Foundation for Abilities First NY is to garner the financial resources necessary to meet the programmatic interests and to assure the sustainability of the mission of Abilities First, Inc. FAFNY will establish a stable commitment of philanthropic support, to assure the programs, services, and quality of life opportunities remain strong and available, as well as ensure the organization’s fiscal resiliency during unexpected changes.
