Attendees will spend an exciting day of golf at the Powelton Club in Newburgh, NY, an exclusive, members-only course with spectacular view of the Hudson Highlands. Enjoy course specialties including food and beverage samplings, cigars and massages. Prizes will be awarded for Womens Team, Mixed Teams and Mens Team, along with longest drive, closest to the pin, and hole-in-one.
Participants and students of Abilities First will also attend a special Lunch ‘N Putt event and will have the opportunity to practice on the putting green as the golfers headed out for the tournament.
The Powelton Club is a full service, private country club located 50 miles north of New York City, nestled in the heart of the Hudson River Valley in the hamlet of Balmville. Established in 1882, The Powelton Club is one of the oldest golf and tennis clubs in the United States. The club features a Devereux Emmet designed 18-hole golf course, 5 American red clay tennis courts, two swimming pools and a beautiful clubhouse.
All proceeds from the 2016 Golf Classic will benefit the services and programs of Abilities First.
